Hey guys, have been told off by Santa for not coming on the forum. My excuses are mostly based around having a wee bairn who takes up so much of my time!
That being said, I will start trying to post once a week and keep things running..... Some people are doing well and rattling through their games, some have been getting side tracked (inc me lol). This Tuesday I will try to have a chat with everyone and then post all of the results / league tables / upcoming fixtures on the forum later this week.
In terms of the mini leagues that everybody is in, because some people are in leagues of 3 (so will play 2 games) and others are in leagues of 4 (playing 3 games) I'm going to let everybody in a league of 3 play a "friendly" game against anyone else in a league of 3 so as to gain access to that extra game's worth of experience.
Whatever happens, I now announce a cut off date of the 17th November for the initial division games, so I can get the quarters, semi final, and final played before the end of the year.
Past that I think a more ad hoc league could be put in place, so that anyone who wishes to play blood bowl "can make their games count".
Looking forward to hearing your comments.

Hurray for Santa! We care not for your excuses just more games!
I'd like this league thing to happen ASAP as I'm out of the cup already
If it would make things easier for you I'd be interested in becoming joint-commissioner and keep the league table updated and such like?

My self and Kilby have not yet been able to have our game and at the mo we have a tourney coming up that we need to prepare for. Both of us are going to drop from the league due to time constraints. This will leave Connor in our group on his own and he has not had a game yet. It would be better if you moved him to a different group in order for him to have some games.

Hi folks
Although not all results are in from last night (including quite possibly the highest scoring game ever which was 4 to 2 at the time I left....) I enclose the current tables according to the information I have:
Group A W D L For Against Bloodhorn Bullets 1 0 0 4 0 Hashut's Venger All Stars 1 0 0 2 0 Witches of Eastwick 1 0 0 1 0 Connor’s Dwarves 0 0 1 0 2 Blood Bowl Baggies 0 0 2 0 5 Group B W D L For Against Calcium Colts 2 1 0 4 1 Sebs On Fire 1 1 0 5 1 The Cheesemeisters 1 1 0 1 1 Da Boyz 0 1 1 1 5 Sotek's Salamanders 0 0 2 0 1 Aramel's White Dragons 0 0 1 0 2
If I am lacking information, please let me know and I will update accordingly.
I know that Santa is looking to play one of next Games this coming Tuesday - although I think that he has only Paul and Andy left to play. I know Paul's not available....
Cheers All
The dude

Hi Rich,
Just to let you know the final result from Tuesdays match between me (Paul Sheldon) and Chris Hiley.
Cheesemeisters 4, Sotecks Salamanders 3
Go Cheesemeisters, the mouse maidens everywhere are swooning for my furry little heroes.
On the downside the Gutter Runner Nadgers died at the hands of a vile Skink, he has been replace by his son Nadgers Jnr.

COMMISSIONER LOSES CONTROL!!
A number of changes have recently taken place in the DDL BB CUP League, and it's understood that the league commissioner is pulling his hair out as he tries to prevent the league falling into anarchy. If he keeps pulling at his hair and scalp at such a rate, before long we could see him playing for the Calcium Colts.
NEW TEAMS
First of all, the Dark Delights are no more, the coach 'Sneaky O'Connor' the funny looking dwarf coach who looks like a rat may be about to reveal his true allegiances. Shortly after their defeat to Hashut's Venger All Stars, the dwarf players, who seemed to have about the same ability as Halflings in the game, were all found dead around the back of the dressing rooms. Execution Style. However, the Delights have not withdrawn from the league so it remains to be seen how they will fare in their next game without any players (possibly no worse than their first game).
Secondly, although according to the league schedule, Hashut's VAS were due to play an Orc team next, they were spotted playing a mystery Chaos team which is not officially recognised by the league. We are waiting for the official match report, but leaked information suggests the All Stars were 1-0 winners and thus improve their record to 2 and 0.
FREE FOR ALL
A further development, is that the league appears to have become a free for all. Instead of the original 4 mini leagues envisioned by the commissioner, the franchises have just decide to arrange games against an opponent of their choice. This has lead to Orcs playing Orcs and certain teams looking to pick on the strugglers. The commissioner was asked for his comments and he revealed, "I'm trying to see if I can stop this madness, and I have already taken out injunctions to prevent teams playing the same opponents twice, on punishment of expulsion."
It remains to be seen how such a random league will lead to anybody working out how the cup will play out in the final stages, however since all the fans care about is that the they see some good plays and some terrific squelches, it would appear that this new format is here to stay. Although unofficial, we enclose a copy of the league table as it stands... We also understand the Bullets have played Da Boyz however we are still waiting for the score from this game.
W D L Rating
Bloodhorn Bullets 1 0 0 1.00
Hashut's Venger All Stars 2 0 0 1.00
Witches of Eastwick 1 0 0 1.00
Sebs On Fire 2 1 0 0.83
Calcium Colts 2 1 0 0.83
The Cheesemeisters 1 1 0 0.75
Da Boyz 0 1 1 0.25
Sotek's Salamanders 0 0 2 0.00
Chaos 0 0 1 0.00
Dark Delights 0 0 1 0.00
Blood Bowl Baggies 0 0 2 0.00
Aramel's White Dragons 0 0 2 0.00
TOP CLASS
Finally we have details about another blowout victory for Sebs-on-Fire, this time against the luckless Aramel's White Dragons. In a match noted for it's style over it's splatter (not a single casualty was inflicted on either side) the play of the game was a last minute touchdown for the humans and their run and shoot offence. We take you to the bottom of the 7th, 2nd half, the Dragons in possession deep in Sebs Half:
"Ok Bob, we're in the final few minutes of the game. It's 3 - 0 to Lovie Wovie's team and the High Elves are just trying to score a consolation touchdown to try to give this game some meaning."
"That's right Jim, the Dragons have got a blitzer and a catcher deep in the opposition's half. The catcher has the ball, and is within easy reach of the end zone, however being 2 players down due to concussion, they have broken through the line without sufficient support and find themselves against the sideline surrounded by 4 of their opponents. Oh my, and what a crucial missed block in the midfield by a high elf lineman. He completely whiffs on it and that distraction has given the initiative to SoF."
"Yes this is the last chance for the humans to do anything in this game, fortunately Greg the Peg is currently standing unmarked in the opponents half of the pitch waiting for any opportunity. Will he get one?"
"Richard D'ent, the human blitzer, has just smacked the ball carrier with the assist of his thrower. He looks like he could make use of his blocking ability but instead simple shoves the elf into the crowd."
"Well Bob, we'll have to wait to see what happens to the poor elf who seems to have ended up in a ground of goblin fans who seemed to have made it to the wrong game. The ball however, has been thrown straight back and is now just a few paces from the human thrower."
"It's all set up for a dramatic finish Jim, although at the moment it looks like any throwing path would be blocked. The human lineman are are ganging up and shifting the way clear. Oh and Tillman has just thrown an excellent one on one block which just might have opened up the play."
"Exciting stuff Bob, and JaynotKyle, the human thrower is making his move, he runs over to the ball looking to pick it up in full flight. He's fumbled it!"
"No. Somehow he manages to juggle the ball and keep hold of it. He sure has good hands there Jim! He looks like he's going to lose the ball but out of nowhere it is now streaking through the air towards his wide open catcher. Not that the path is clear, there's no chance of an interception."
"And Greg's made the catch, he sets out for a sprint to the end zone.... he's getting closer, but he looks like he's going to stumble at the last metre. No he's there, a dramatic last second touchdown, his second of the game and SoF's fourth. With 8 seconds left on the clock it looks like the game will end straight after the next kickoff!"

Hi guys
Sorry for missing everybody on Tuesday and especially sorry to Chris for letting him down. Zara took Sebastien to hospital and he only had a bloomin' cough (bronchiolitis). Then she got all upset when I was hinting that I could still come down lol.
Anyway forgot to update regarding my bloodbowl games from the previous week so here goes:
So the wheels have come off Sebs-On-Fire's fine start to the season after disasterous results in the double header.
First up where the Chaos Dwarf team Hashut Venger's All Stars. What could have been a close game was marred by SOF's complete inability to gain any luck out of his re-rolls. From the opening rolls when the CD's were able to welcome 22,000 fans (with FF 10 and double 6) luck was against the humans and of the 6 re-rolls used by the humans in the game, all 6 lead to a turn over.
Coach Lovie Wovie knew he had all the chances of getting a result from this game and was left bemoaning Nuffle for any blessing. In losing 2-1 SOF had 1 turn of luck with a tricky throw catch dodge td (unaided by re-rolls fortunately) and 15 unlucky turns.
The second game was a different story. We go to Greg the Peg, star player of the SOF over the 2 games getting both touchdowns "Those Orcs (Bloodhorn Bullets) never even wanted to play football. They were just here for a brawl. From the opening whistle all they cared about was smacking our guys around - I'm sure knuckle dusters are illegal in this game" Greg would have continued his rant but had to go off to have his nose set back in place.
It was arguable that SOF's man of the match was Mean Machine Angel, the apothecary!! He was running around like a maniac just trying to keep enough players on the pitch to prevent the Orcs from having it to themselves.
Coach Lovie Wovie comments are mainly unprintable, although he did state that he was lucky to get a draw out of this game and probably the orc delight in brutality may have distracted them from forcing forward for the winning score.
Others have argued that the late finish to the game may have hindered the orcs, the late kickoff meant the floodlights were dimming by the end of the match and the orc coach was too rushed to call his plays.
Sebs on Fire will hope they can return to winning ways in their next match against Sotek's Salamanders. They will have to do it with a bare squad though as both Swifty the Blitzer (Groin Strain) and Kurt the Lineman (Pinched Nerve) are listed as doubtful.

cool write up again rich. I'm really hoping the league does not go down the pan like every league that has gone before it. it seams people don't have the sticking power. does anyone what a blood bowl game on the 15th, I'm yet to play; chaos dwarfs, lizardmen, skaven, amazons and undead if memory servers me correct. i always enjoy playing blood bowl. please keep it going.

Unfortunately no bloodbowl has been played in a couple of weeks, but I want to keep it going so will do my best. I have a FOW next Tuesday but plan to play BBowl the Tuesday after (22 Dec). Hopefully against Chris's Lizardmen who I've been waiting to play for weeks now. Will also try and gee it up and arrange a few games between the other players. I think that I will declare that the season will finish on the 16th February - I will then look at getting the top 4 players to play semis and then a final to battle it out for the cup over the next 2 or 3 weeks.
After that, we can start a ladder league so people can keep on playing, maybe even have 2 leagues, the hard corp league and the Championship (lol). That way inexperienced players could maybe play against experienced players who have halflings hahahaha
What does everyone think?
